Thomas Hartl (b. 1965)

A literary scholar by training, Hartl taught American Studies at the University of Salzburg, Austria, in the 20th century. He is the author of Raymond Federman's Real Fictitious Discourses (Edwin Mellen Press, 1995) and co-edited Federman: From A to X-X-X-X (San Diego State University Press, 1998) with Larry McCaffery and Doug Rice. He translated Federman's French novel La fourrure de ma tante Rachel into German (a special illustrated edition of the book was recently published by Faber & Faber in the tenth year of Federman's death).
